Four Streams Partners was birthed, informally, in 2003, and officially as a 501c3 in 2009.  We currently do 6 things:

1.      We average 4-6 men's retreats per year for the purpose of awakening men to More Life through a transformational relationship with Jesus Christ.

2.      We meet weekly in the Alpharetta/Roswell/Johns Creek area of North Atlanta on Saturday mornings to connect with each other as men and to explore the implications of seeking the Kingdom of God before anything else. We affectionately call this gathering BANDO (short for Band of Brothers).

3.      Men Under 40 (self-named 'The Whole Man') meet every Friday morning near Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, GA to 'become good soil' and to learn to 'take the lowest seat at the table until God makes it impossible to do otherwise'.

4.      We encourage men to recover the really 'good news' that has been lost throughout the ages.  Our hope is to model to men that a band of brothers is critical to living and loving well.

5.      Our community of men numbers in the hundreds. Like a concentric circle, some men take a 'dip' into BANDO occasionally; others attend a weekend - most commonly out of desperation.  But there are a few... some who grasp that their lives matter to other people and that God is revealing the brilliance, genius and weightiness of their own lives in Christ to them.  These are our Coaches and our Captains.

6.      Leaders in this community understand that they carry the very life of God. They love to walk beside other men in this journey.  They are humble. They are weighty.  They are true.

We have many 'partners'.  Many of those partners are men who coach with us on weekend missions.  Other partners are donors who have experienced More Life in one of our environments.  We partner strategically with other ministries and counselors who offer expertise that we do not possess.

Distinctives of Four Streams:

We appreciate and use Story in many forms to awaken our own hearts and to encourage men to continually step into the 'More Life' that Jesus spoke about in John 10:10.  There is More!

We are committed to growing in our understanding and wise use of the 4 Streams (from Waking the Dead) of a) Walking with God, b) Counsel, c) Healing and d) Spiritual Warfare.  We purpose to intentionally choose to better grasp and use these streams in every relationship and in every sphere of culture.

The men of Four Streams Partners are totally committed to understanding & helping men actually believe that real life change is not only possible, but inevitable as we 'continue the conversation' with Jesus and with each other.

We continue to explore the mystery & reality of the gospel of the Kingdom of God.  The good news of Salvation is beautiful and forgiveness is breathtaking.  And it is only a beginning.  We're discovering that we often don't know what it means to seek more Life and to seek his Kingdom first so we practice asking God to help us all to make this search a priority in our day-to-day living.

Finally, we continue to take risks with our programs, environments and methods so that we can uncover strategic ways of thinking & living. We risk in these ways so that life change in Christ becomes sustainable.  When Jesus told us that he only did what he saw the Father do and that he only said what the Father said, we believe he was modeling that for us. While this idea is so true to Scripture, it feels counter - and almost heretical - to the Christian culture into which so many of us were birthed. We have purposed to continue walking in him and with him.  To do anything else is a Christian life without Christ.

We are Expanding:

Over the past 10 years, our influence has expanded - even internationally.  We love to find churches and ministry groups that want to partner with us.  Our capacity to receive Love from God is expanding - as we ask Him.  As our need for resources expands, so does our dependence.  While we receive donations from Partners, we will pioneer into offering creative environments and tools for men and our hope is that additional revenue streams will support the ministry. Be looking for tools that are both affordable and helpful in the near future.

Buz and his team have had a transformational impact on my life - I’m entering my 30’s with a Young marriage and two kids, and have found the 30’s ministry to be powerful and life giving. 4 Streams is a place where so much LIFE is being found.

I will never forget July 31, 2016, the first day I attended BANDO in Alpharetta, GA with 4 streams partners. You don't forget days that changed your life. Speaking of life, that is exactly what I found at 4 streams partners. This ministry, as an ally of John Eldredge's Wild at Heart ministry, was an incredible answer to prayer seeking more from God. Through Buz Mayo's incredible leadership, mentoring, discipling, I have found the exceedingly abundant life promised in John 10:10. Because I have been filled with more life through BANDO, our mid week BANDO Bible reading and prayer, Waking the Dead groups, Wild At Heart follow up groups, and weekend retreats including Advanced Restoration and Wild at Heart BASIC, I have been healed, set free, and given Kingdom authority to help other men who are broken find freedom and restoration through Jesus Christ. All glory to God. How rewarding it has been to bring other men to this place of living water and watch them be awakened to more life and transformed by Jesus.

John Eldredge told us from wild at heart basic at frontier ranch in May of 2016 about “the allies network”. I found fourstream partners on the Wild at Heart website in a few clicks and found a home! An avid reader of Waking the Dead, I was immediately attracted to the name since part 3 of WTD is named, “the four streams”. Whether it’s Jack Hayford, John Eldredge or Buz Mayo, the name is awesome. And the ministry is better. True. Authentic. Life giving. MORE LIFE and a TRANSFORMATIONAL relationship with Jesus Christ. Thank you Wild at Heart for the referral and thank you BUZ and all the men of Four Streams Partners!

I have been involved with Four Streams for about nine months and attended the retreat in the spring. The retreat, just like the weekly BANDO meetings, was not just more information- it was transformational. It is a genuine community of men, an environment I haven’t found in any church men’s group or ministry. The hard work of the leadership pays off in events that are well organized and orchestrated - and build up the men in Christ in a new way each time.

Buz and 4streams has built an environment where men can relate to men with no judgement, no comparison traps and the opportunity to be genuine and authentic. The programming is, at a minimum, helpful, but can be life-changing if you are up for it. I have been going to BANDO for only a couple months and have been reading through Waking the Dead on Thursday nights. My wife has told me that she has noticed a difference in me. There is much on the horizon.

For most of my 61 years I have lived only 2/3 of Jesus' imperative to us: that we love God, and love others as we love ourselves. I didn't see myself as lovable as those others, and thereby didn't know how to love me, even though God made me with great value to know and enjoy Him. I am now in my 10th year of assisting Buz Mayo and the 4 Streams team to conduct weekends for men that are powerful and deep. In the course of those years God has revealed to me that I do have something to offer and that I do have what it takes -- and I am resting in God's call to encourage other men and help them to 'get their hearts back.' As I connect with other men in the unique design of these weekends -- I myself am strengthened as we share each other's story -- and discover more of what God has to reveal about Himself as Father, Son and Spirit.

As I pulled into the heavily forested retreat center in the mountains of Northern Georgia I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve read many of John’s books and worked through his “Wild at Heart Field Manual” when I was deployed to Iraq a few years ago. As the weekend unfolded, I was lead deeper and deeper into my heart. The retreat was interactive, dynamic and engaging while strategically leading me to pull back and reveal my hidden wounds, passions and God’s truth about who I am and how He sees me. The opportunity to tell my story to a small group of men and to hear theirs, was a unique, divinely appointed experience that has impacted me for life. I highly recommend and encourage men to contact Four Streams Partners and clear your calendar to attend the next weekend retreat.
