Date: Thursday, Jan 24 to Monday, Jan 28. Lodging is provided for Thursday evening. Arrive to the camp at your leisure anytime after 5PM (keep in mind that meals will not be provided on Thursday or Monday. However, snacks are available for purchase at the snack bar). 1st session begins Friday morning immediately after breakfast.  Last session ends Sunday evening immediately after dinner. 

Event Location:
Bear Trap Ranch, Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

Tuition:
$375 - Includes 4 nights lodging, 9 meals, bedding (sheets, towels, pillows, blankets and comforters), a meeting space, audio/visual needs and a beverage bar in the meeting room that includes drinking water, hot tea and hot cocoa.

Transportation:
Attendees are responsible for their own transportation. In cases of high volume of snow, chains may be necessary. Information will be sent out 48 hours prior to the date of the camp regarding expected road conditions. NOTE: We are negotiating with a shuttle service and will send out information to every registrants as soon as we receive confirmation regarding this as an option.

Event Description:

In Wild At Heart John Eldredge invites men to recover their masculine heart, defined in the image of a passionate God”. 

This boot camp, hosted by Freedom14 Ministries, is a full three day quest into the recovery of the masculine soul. Through teaching sessions that go deep into the message of Wild at Heart, guided times of personal reflection, and optional adventures, Boot Camp is more than a retreat – it is an expedition of the heart.  You will never be the same.

Event Speaker:

Barry Strickland is the Texas Director of New Wilderness Adventures, a ministry dedicated to reaching families by reaching men. He has been leading Wild At Heart boot camps since 2001 and has a passion for equipping men to walk in the genuine freedom of Christ. As a liaison for Ransomed Heart Ministries in Colorado Springs, Barry takes the Wild At Heart message into prisons across the globe with the distinct purpose of setting the captives free. In the words of Morgan Snyder at Ransomed Heart, “I've walked with very few men that have championed my heart and the heart of Jesus more than Barry Strickland. Strength, passion, integrity, authenticity, love. This man is a forerunner in what it looks like in the dailies to live in such a way where God has to show up." A personal note from Barry: “God created man in HIS image with a desire for adventure and risk as a part of his spirit. We have not effectively appealed to these desires in traditional Christian settings. It is my goal to use the excitement and attraction of outdoor adventure to get the man's attention. This man is either totally absent from church or he is bored and disconnected. Once we have his attention we can share with him the excitement and adventure contained in the gospel message. We want men to realize how he can apply his warrior like spirit in becoming part of the battle for GOD’S KINGDOM that begins with a battle for his own heart.”

Audience:

Due to the nature and depth of the content and experience, this boot camp is not designed for youth.  We recommend that attendees be at least eighteen years of age.

Cancellation by Registrant:
Payment is required at the time your reservation is made for this event.  You may cancel your registration and receive a refund of your registration fee up to 3 weeks prior to the date of the event; provided, however, you will be charged a $150 handling fee upon the cancellation of your registration.  In the event that you cancel your registration less than 3 weeks prior to the date of the event, you will forfeit the entire registration fee.  Regardless of when you cancel your registration, your registration is not transferable to another event, date, or person

Cancellation by Freedom14 Ministries:
If the event is made impossible by any act of God, war, earthquake, fire, strike, sickness, accident, epidemic, act of government, its agencies or officers, or any other legitimate cause beyond our control, we will cancel the event and refund your full event registration fee to you.
