A Note About Covid-19:
We are keeping a close eye on the developments surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic. While we hope to hold the August 2020 Wild at Heart Boot Camp, we want to assure all attendees of the following:
If government mandates or guidelines should prevent us from holding the event, we will fully refund all participants.
We are putting a cancellation fee waiver in place for any attendee experiencing symptoms of contagious illness in the two weeks leading up to the event (see cancellation section at bottom of this page).
We will be working closely with Young Life and our Medical teams to follow quarantine protocol should any attendee become ill during the course of the event. We will also be monitoring and adhering to government guidelines and protocols.
First Time Attendees:
In order to meet the ongoing demand of men who have never been able to attend a Wild At Heart event with us, first priority in the August 2020 Wild at Heart Boot Camp will be given to first time attendees. If you have attended before, you are still encouraged to enter the lottery and will be prioritized in the lottery accordingly.
Wild at Heart Boot Camp isn't just another men's retreat. That's the last thing anybody needs. The reason most messages for men ultimately fail is simple: they ignore what is deep and true to a man's heart and try to shape him up through various forms of pressure.
Not this. This weekend is an honest, no-BS trek into the deep passions and desires of a man's heart, the healing of the wounds he's taken in this battle, the realm of fatherhood and sex and God and calling—life as it was meant to be lived.
Through the sessions, times of quiet reflection, movies, adventures and downtime, you will discover something profound about the heart of God and the heart he gave you as a man. Those who come say it is one of the greatest weekends of their entire life.
Please do not contact the ranch prior to the event. If you have a pressing question that must be answered, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is Boot Camp?
Wild at Heart Boot Camp isn't just another men's retreat. That's the last thing anybody needs. The reason most messages for men ultimately fail is simple: They ignore what is deep and true to a man's heart, and try to shape him up through various forms of pressure. Not this. Tuition for this event covers all costs for accommodations, meals, teaching and event supplies. It does not include transportation to and from the event.
Maybe a note on roommate requests
Attendees are responsible for their own transportation. However, we offer a shuttle service to and from Denver International Airport for an additional fee.
We have chosen to use a lottery process because of high demand for our events. Demand exceeds supply. All economic laws are telling us "more" is the answer… charge more money…do more retreats… include more people! But God has entrusted us with a message--a message about the heart in which "more" is often heart-killing. We want you to experience these retreats (and most importantly experience your God in life-changing ways), but not at the cost of sacrificing the message we want you to experience. So, to better serve all of those interested in attending, we are using a lottery selection process.
Due to the intimate and personal nature of the content, Boot Camp cannot be viewed as a Father/Son event. We strongly encourage fathers and sons to attend, but they will need to participate in different Boot Camps, at least for each of their first experiences of this retreat. Due to the nature and depth of the content and experience, Wild at Heart Boot Camp is not designed for youth. You must have be at least eighteen years of age to enter the lottery.
Ransomed Heart is a message ministry with an emphasis on discipling leaders of men and women in this message. Our intent is to offer training to a few leaders to equip them to go back to their communities to walk in the fullness of their strength, working to set hearts free. Our hope is that there will be countless Boot Camps across the nation led by these men. Because we are only able to offer 2-3 events each year, we have to be increasingly strategic with group acceptance policies. Our intent is to achieve maximum impact with each event.
Therefore, the Event lottery will not accept groups larger than 5.
Please do not simply divide a large group into groups of 5, as this is not the spirit of the strategy. We ask you to prayerfully evaluate your training strategy for your band of brothers, your church, and your region. Have only your top 2-5 key leaders enter the lottery.
Cancellation by Registrant
Full payment is required at the time your reservation is made for this event. You may cancel your registration and receive a refund of your registration fee up to 3 weeks prior to the date of the event; provided, however, you will be charged a $75 handling fee upon the cancellation of your registration. In the event that you cancel your registration less than 3 weeks prior to the date of the event (for reasons other than contagious illness), you will forfeit the entire registration fee. Regardless of when you cancel your registration, your registration is not transferable to another event, date, or person.
Cancellation Fee Waiver For Illness:
To maintain a safe and healthy event, we are waiving cancellation fees for all 2020 events for any attendee experiencing signs of contagious illness. If you have any symptoms of fever, cough, congestion, or flu like symptoms within the 2 weeks prior to the event, please email email@example.com to cancel your registration and receive a full refund.
Cancellation by Ransomed Heart
If the event is made impossible by any act of God, war, earthquake, fire, strike, sickness, accident, epidemic, act of government, its agencies or officers, or any other legitimate cause beyond our control, we will cancel the event and refund your full Ransomed Heart event registration fee to you.
Participation of John Eldredge
While it is our intent that John Eldredge will participate in the event, if for any reason he is unable to participate, the event will most likely continue without him. However, we reserve the right to cancel the event should John Eldredge's participation be prevented if we decide, in our sole discretion, that cancellation is necessary under the circumstances. If we do decide to cancel the event for any reason, we will refund your full registration fee to you.
