SOUL.FIRE.//Beth Hamilton, STORYGUIDE offers quality, gospel-grounded lay therapy services to local churches and the Nashville community at large. Through one-on-one and group discipleship, Beth will engage the hearts and lives of women in a safe environment to address their brokenness with the goal of deep growth toward maturity and Kingdom impact.

Beth has been equipped for this work by her own life experience as well as her completion of the Lay Counseling Certificate program at The Allender Center for Abuse and Trauma in Seattle, WA in April 2015. Small groups include Wounded Heart (for victims of childhood sexual abuse) and Broken Beautiful Story Groups (to examine story in a safe setting).

"Beth Hamilton is a gifted, wise and generous lay counselor. She is profoundly gifted in helping a person survey how they have come to be where they are and what it will mean truly to move into the future with the presence of Jesus. She is a spiritual midwife who will help those in labor form their heart into a deeper love for Jesus." - Dan Allender, Ph.D, founder The Seattle School and author of numerous books, including The Wounded Heart.

I have been in a season of being involved in one of Beths story groups. It has been nothing short of amazing. I have met new friends and heard theirs stories and through their stories learned a lot about myself too. Beth is gentle and kind as she speaks truth, but her vulnerability in sharing her own stories with us was real and authentic. She guides and teaches from what she's learned but also from where she is.....she hasn't arrived and she isn't all better or cured from her past. Is she better than she once was? Of course , but she is growing and still learning in her own story and that is encouraging . We are all in process, some are just farther along than the rest of us and that is why and how we learn from each other. I am leaving the group with the ability to evaluate where I am in my life currently, where I've come from and why I am like I am, and how do I use all of that towards my future growth.

I reluctantly began my journey of healing when a friend introduced me to Beth at Soul Fire. I had previously skirted the perimeter of my own story, but was invited into deeper community by the hope of healing - and the courage I witnessed within my friend's life. The group that Beth lovingly leads provides a place of belonging, safety, healing, and the opportunity to grow in courage, understanding, and insight. She offers weary travelers a safe place to find their way again...the way through grief, back to freedom; a place to put down the heavy baggage of shame and guilt; a place to breathe freely. This reluctant traveler highly recommends this place of respite. Thank you, Beth, for your willingness to point the way!

I have had the privilege of being in both the Wounded Heart group and the Broken Beautiful Story group. Beth's training and insight have enabled me to delve deeper into my own history. She encourages me to untangle truth from lies. The groups feel honest and safe. I am so thankful that Beth made these opportunities available. What we believe in the present is rooted in the past. Knowing one's history is important. I highly recommend these groups.

When the Beautiful Broken story group was announced, I was pretty eager to join. Previously knowing Beth - her genuine listening ears, her Godly wisdom, and heart to speak the truth- I knew this was something I wanted to be a part of. I walked away with more courage and confidence in who God is and who I am in Him that I've never had before. I learned tools to fight the enemy, tools to fight myself and my sin. I'm grateful for Beth's desire to push women to fight the enemy and the lies of the world. There is power in speaking truth over that between believers. Thank you Beth for creating such a space!
