As women we tend to serve the world around us.  We take care of everyone else before we take care of ourselves.  We can find ourselves spent, tired and worn out, in desperate need of some time to focus on ourselves, and more importantly, our own heart. 

This retreat is an invitation to women of all ages in need of some time away to tend to their own hearts.  On Thursday, late in the afternoon, we gather at Camp Michawana to embark on our adventure together that will conclude on Sunday around noon.  We invite you to come alone, with a friend, with your small group, or with your entire women’s ministry group from your church.  No matter how you come, you will find this retreat is created with you in mind.  

It’s created to be a time for you to escape to a quiet place for some time to tend to your own heart and your own relationship with God.  Unveiled is a wonderful and safe place to dive into some issues of the heart, find the freedom that God promises you and knit your heart closer to His.  Please keep the focus of this retreat in mind when you are stating your roommate preference.  Whether it’s your mother, daughter, sister or girlfriend, sometimes it’s wise to have a little space to process all that God is saying and doing in your life.  

Our weekend will be filled with teaching sessions that will encourage, challenge, and instruct you through stories, film clips, music and God’s Word, with opportunities to press into His heart through guided times of reflection and journaling.  There will also be opportunities for nightly bonfires and free time in which to nourish your heart.

This retreat is based on the books, Captivating and Waking the Dead by John and Stasi Eldredge, and it promises to be a deeply personal and intimate experience with the Living God resulting in an irreversible life change that you have been longing for.
